Skybeck Superintendents manage the day-to-day operations on the jobsite. From the preconstruction phase of the project through completion, the Superintendent is the official onsite representative of the company. His main responsibilities include the enforcement of the project schedule, quality control standards, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities of this Position:

  • Update the Project Schedule as needed and conduct performance meetings with Subcontractors as the project progresses
  • Coordinate all Subcontractors work and ensure all trades have the necessary manpower required to complete the project on time
  • Ensure the proper execution of all designer’s details per plans and specifications
  • Review RFI’s and submittals and make sure all changes and supplemental drawings have been distributed to the field crews
  • Perform quality control inspections of every scope of work
  • Ensure all defective work found on testing and inspection reports is corrected within a timely manner and without damaging existing work
  • Completion of site reports such as Daily Logs, Photographs, Quality Inspection Reports, Safety Meetings, Safety Violation Notices, and Preconstruction Meeting Minutes
  • Directly supervise and train our Assistant Superintendents

  • Requirements for this position:

  • 7-15 years’ experience with a general contractor in construction industry (Preferably Commercial, Multifamily or Hospitality)
  • Must have a desire to be in the field and a willingness to travel
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision making skills
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally in a team environment
  • Customer service oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good computer skills — Proficient in Microsoft Office (all products)
  • An understanding of construction concepts, including the ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience with problem solving and managing multiple projects continually
  • Self-motivated/Entrepreneurial
  • Bilingual preferred, but not necessary
